HYPE Current Collaborations


- Ninth (9th) year of partnership with Earle School District where we provide Case Managers to provide weekly Abstinence Education Mentoring to at risk/low income students grades 5th-12th

- Implemented and executed collaboration with local community college and Whole Truth Church-Earle to place Adult Education/GED Center which serves approximately 12 low-income individuals 17 & older.

- Collaborating with local community college on a Male Mentoring Program for At-Risk Marginal Males in 9th-12th grade and 1st year freshmen in our service area that assists marginal males with goal-setting; transitioning into college/or pursuing technical skill;

- Implemented collaboration with Arkansas Human Development Corporation where HYPE’s Founder/Executive Director serves on Board (as youngest board member) and represents Crittenden County (which there was none previously) to create opportunities and programs focusing on seasonal farm workers or their children transitioning into college and the workforce and/or entrepreneurship. - Collaboration with MH Marketing on “Elevate Youth Entrepreneurship” program which travels into school districts targeting low-income and at risk students to use creativity and gain additional practical skills to become business owners while yet in high school



HYPE Current Collaborations (continued)


- Faith Based Family Night:  Volunteers, parents and youth ages 5 and up work to create an atmosphere conducive to allowing youth and families to come together as a family unit in positive peaceful atmospheres.  A nationally renowned Gospel/Urban Contemporary DJ is hired to make sure relevant inspirational Gospel music is played to help minister to the Spirit, Soul and Mind of participants. In addition to Skating, Creative Dancing, Motivational Speaking, Snacks and video games are offered.

- Collaborating with four faith based organizations in service areas on a monthly basis in a Youth Empowerment Gathering where youth come together for Spoken Poetry, Creative Dance, Singing and the Performing Arts.

- Partnership with retired NBA player who assists with player development and recruiting for Team HYPE AAU Basketball Team

- HYPE Sports Academy focusing on individual player development

- Collaborating with Regions Bank and Faith Based Organization to provide Financial Empowerment Seminars for low income families

- Seeking funding to continue operating “unique” faith based after school program in Earle, AR serving approximately 100 low-income/at-risk youth ages 5-12

- Seeking funding to open unique after school program in West Memphis, AR  for low-income/at risk youth



HYPE Past Collaborations & Success Stories


- Referred and assisted approximately 100 or more low-income youth/parents age 18 and over from service area to enroll in a 2 year or 4 year University to pursue a technical certificate, Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree

- Created and Implemented Team HYPE Basketball Club which allows us to mentor young men and young women ages 16-25 through using basketball; These young men compete in a summer league that allows them to play with NBA, WNBA, premier NCAA college players

- Entered into collaboration with retired NFL Player and retired NBA player to create mentoring opportunity for at risk youth in service area to utilize local Community Center to provide mentoring programs

- Selected out of 15 candidates who applied in service areas to receive grant award of $75, 000 by State of Arkansas to operate an after school program demonstration project and youth mentoring initiative which focused on serving approximately 100 children in the Arkansas Delta low-income area of Earle, AR.

- Awarded mini-grant from NFL (National Football League) to administer youth leadership“Jr. Quarterback”

- Awarded ongoing mini-grant (monthly) from local corporation to help sponsor Team HYPE mentoring through sports initiative

- Recognized by WMC TV 5 News for Toys for Tot give away which HYPE distributed over 700 toys to low income needy families throughout Crittenden County.  This news station airs in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas.

- Initiated and coordinated partnership with Whole Truth Gospel Church and City of Earle to motivate and inspire approximately 30 low income single parent women from service area, to enroll into local community college to increase their self worth by pursuing academic, life and career skill training

- Feeding program collaboration with USDA in West Memphis 









Helping Young People Excel, Inc. will create instructive and enlightening programs and empowerment activities to reverse moral, social, economical & mental deterioration by mobilizing and utilizing all available resources which will enable us to provide education, guidance, support, and personal development within the targeted areas.
